Indeed but as I always say Running water in R4's is always standard, not an additional option. It's good to work out how (some of) the water was getting in.

It's good to work out how (some of) the water was getting in. I think it's an improvement to rust proofing after 1985 that didn't quite work.
The floor was always wet and some water gets in through the tailgate area too. It's an easy repair if a bit fiddly to cut the bad stuff out.
My 1968 R4 had a hole in the same place on the n/s, guess it has had a lot longer to rust through. I have found this car to be the least rust prone of all the R4s I have owned, the worst being the 1981 gtl I owned in 1985.
Maybe i missed but can you say total cost for the new chassis delivered to your home.
Did you organized delivery or mellun did? What was price for the shipping?
Mine is going to look derelict All the rusty stuff is going back on.I wouldn't worry too much about the value Malcolm - I was paid £4000 for my tatty old F6 after a little pressure on the insurers - 'average condition' they said
I can see you burned quite a lot of wood this winter!
The earlier photo of the wood store was after it was first built about 5 years ago. It's very handy - one of the bays now keeps building sand dry.I can see you burned quite a lot of wood this winter!
