Renault 4 Parts

Hi

I am interested this lot of parts. Would you consider posting, if so could you tell me how much it would be including postage.
Please contact me at the following e-mail address: christianebeyer@yahoo.co.uk
PS. Would you happen to have an interior heater motor switch too?
Thanks

distributor for 1108 engine

to babyblue reference distributor
have checked the ducellier one out marked as r4 1108 centrifugal weights in base all seems ok ,vac advance holds suction ok ,no play in shaft and all revolves freely
however number on dist body says r244 d61 which i seem to remember as being mk1 5 gtl (1289cc) but cant find any tech data to hand to confirm
it will def fit and work as have done b4 many years ago but we did have proper petrol then and actual timing will need experimenting with

will send it to you to try providing you are prepared to pay postage costs (£8.00)

thanks for you interest , i notice that you are new here so have no idea which model and years of cars you own or need spares for

i can tell you more if you either pm or ring me on 07973423795

no desperate need for me to sell parts, mainly trying to help people who may be stuck
heater switches are different i think depending on exact year /model

Hi

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have a 1985 Renault 4GTL and the heater switch on mine is a 2 speed with a resistor fitted to the back of the switch, the positive and negative cables which go to the motor are quite long. With regard to the spares you've got listed, I don't have any immediate need for the ones in the pic but I do like to hoard R4 bits as you don't know when you are going to need them! Therefore if they are going for a reasonable price as a job lot let me know.

well in that case go back further in time to my posts with pics in the barn of various hidden treasures
because that is a warning to what happens if you keep stuff just in case!!

seriously most stuff is for much older r4s particularly 845cc and totally different to your car

as my barn owning friend has recently been to french autojumble at Loeac? where prices were v high and loads of interest , now plans to take a van full back next year

my next task is to sort into piles of different models
may be sorted for next october!!!

let you know if find switch but unlikely

welcome to the forum any way

paul

hello
I'm after 160mm rear brake plates, the ones in your photo look likely items can you confirm if they are and if so the price .

hi there up in scotland ,
another new member welcome , well spotted the back plates are for early 850 cars with front handbrake setup
will check dia later on but those parts are at my workshop and actually going back to barn today and will be friday b4 i can post with size etc
does £20 the pair sound reasonable (as they are new old stock parts) plus postage
if you send me your postcode iwill get aquote from my courier as depending where you are parcel force/ royal mail may be cheaper

ps, think there is one front back plate for same car . several for 850 van / early 5L or let me know if you are looking for any thing else as it may jog my memory

hello mr reno 139

are those a couple of master cylinders for an early 4 (67), and are they complete with seals?. iam looking for a new switch to match.

yours Toetuppy.

master cylinders

suddenly loads of new members ,welcome toetuppy (and with an older R4)

there are several mastercylinders but no idea of part numbers as boxes are not in perfect condition and part numbers are not very legible (and poor eyesight doesnt help )

all cylinders are genuine renault new old stock ,if i have got a part number to match up or a really good photo of yours i will try and find one for you
let me know if you have a part number to look out for
there are some more cylinders at barn which i could bring back next week
BUT
because they have been standing several years i can offer no guarantees on condition ,but will send you one or two free if you pay postage

not seen brake light switch about, think that they are same as R8 (think they both screw into end of cylinder) so should still be available from specialists in france
no idea on uk availability as not as deeply involved in R4s as i used to be

Hi, I've seen the pictures of the parts from the barn and I notice that you have a pulley that tensions the belt for the alternator. Is this from an 1108cc engine or do you know if it will fit?

The one I have on my 1985 4F6 van will no longer tension as the bolt has sheered. If it will fit how much do you want for it and can you let me know how much the postage will be?

If you need any more information then please give me a call on 07814 147324

Cheers Paul

I would be really pleased to have this part, [delay due to our computor being broken over the weekend]
I will send you postage.... £10. and ring you to get your address many thanks Rick

tensioner for 1108

hi to another paul with f6
should be ok as threw 8 away with noisy bearings ,kept that one as sounded quiet will check bolt not seized and reply asap
bearings are still available from bearing suppliers though

hi again to babyblue
give me a ring quick before malcolm is tempted to beat you to it !!

master cylinder

hello mr reno, i will check the serial number on my master cylinder and get it back to you this weekend. you are correct in thinking that the switch screws into the end of the cylinder, one of the brass terminals has broken off on mine and the wiring is held on there temporarily by solder. I see that you may still have some points for an early sev distributor, if you post your address i will send s.a.e and any payment for that pint malcolm suggests you should have. If there is any 6volt stuff kicking around in there please let me know, i would be very grateful.

Toetuppy.

hi toetuppy
how old did you say your car is ?
iam sure you could make use of one of my 3 speed gearbox mounts

however as i have just acquired a 1975 845 TL myself i may put some parts on hold until i get it back to investigate further

i do have a fairly good idea of what parts i personally have, def no 6vstuff
but as for whats in the barn is any bodys guess
did find a brand new 3 speed grille though yesterday

paul

Renault 4L

Hello Paul.
The renault affectionately called Josephie, is a 1967 4L. Bought in 1977 for £200 complete with rusted out floorpans (which i discovered months after handing over the money), this being the first motor i ever owned, been with me ever since in various states of disrepair.
I think above all else i need to scource a 6volt starter as this has stopped me in my tracks and proved difficult to replace.

yours, toetuppy.
