Powderham Classic Vehicle Show

Hi all. I went to the excellent Powderham Show today (near Exeter). Sadly no R4s there, but i did spot this lovely 8, an interesting Alvis, and of course some beautiful steam engines, plus a Stanley steam car. A great day out, all rounded off with strawberries and cream, yum yum.

Hi Andrew, sorry didn't get a picture of the 17. These were the only Renaults there apart from a Velsatis, but I don't think that counts, does it.:smile:

The 8 is Robert Doran's and the car behind looks like his 15 with the black strip up the side.
The 8 is ex Bob Pigeon and Robert added the renault colours a few months ago.

Hi Gary, I guess I should have known Rob would be there, the R8 looks great doesn't it. Such a pity Rob didn't have a Club stand there this year.

What gets me is the amount of steam engines that have survived!

I reckon the percentages left of those built must be pretty good compared to our little quatrelles!

I mean even at our farm we have five of them!
