Greetings:
I think I need a new fuel pump for my 1979 Le Car (R5). It's taking me a lot of cranking to get the engine turned over and it tends to be weak at idle.

Anyhow, given the difficulty getting Renault parts in the US, my choices seem to be very limited. I found this one on ebay and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them before I ordered one.

Hi Ben -- Hello from Oakland, CA, USA! First post here, found this thread while likewise searching the web for my 1982 R5 Le Car. I've actually ordered from that particular eBay seller, and after 3 weeks got a "Sorry it turns out we don't have this, sending you a refund" note. This was back in December. So, beware.

If you find a working pump with multiple units available, please do let me know and I'll do same! :) --Rich

There are plenty of pumps available in Europe and even here in UK
Guess problem is finding sellers want to ship to US

Thanks for the replies.
Rich: ebay says the pump is enroute with a tracking number. I'll keep you posted on whether it makes it!
