when i recently bought my 1967 TL the drivers seat was in a bit of a state. On taking apart the back, and finding that the special shaped springs had nearly all broken, i decided to "modernise" it. Thought others might be interested, as its made the seat much more comfortable and supportive, altho i haven't done the base.
Because the back has no cross bracing, i welded in some shaped pieces, see pics, and then fitted Pirelli webbing. An easy job, and well worth it....ade
