This is what kills Sinpars ! It appears to be the single biggest cause of mortality...Arthritis of the suspension, coronary oil pump disease and asthmatic 'carb'uncles are all curable, even a bad dose of rusticular silliculitis can be dealt with, albeit with expensive aftercare and a bit of night-nurse (waxoyl)
The only cars that are immune to this are those with the cast iron rear arms, but they are not common.
I am not sure why the 4x4 arms are so much worse than 2wd arms, because they are both open at the front and have no drain holes to speak of. But the former are disastrous often leading to fractures which need more than a splint and 400mg of ibuprofen, more likely a transplant and cash injection.
To compound matters, donors are very difficult to match, finding a 4L rust-free +ve requires requires a lot of searching and the above mentioned cash injection
So once the graft has taken, preventative medicine is required to stop it happening again !
