Solex 32 Carburetta

Could any one advise me if the solex 32 carb that is fitted to a Renault 4 1970 model 11280, is the same carb that was fitted to the Renault 5 gtl.

Would i get more power if i fitted the solex instead of the Zenith 28 If.

Are you sure it's a 1970 model? 11280 looks like it's a GTL ... those were produced from 1978 onwards. Have you got the 1.1 litre engine?
To help the more knowledgeable members of the forum decide if a carb fits your engine, posting the engine code will help, also the complete type of the carb is needed.
Look for the "Hennessey hot up kit" on this web site for the parts you need ... with R5 parts you have the problem that only MK1 (prior to 1985, before the "Super Cinq") will fit, and even then there were GTL models that had different engines than our 1.1 litre GTL engine.

Thanks for your reply. The car is a 1970 model that is stamped on the reference plate in the engine bay, I have a feeling that it is a 845 cc engine i will go back and double check that, thanks for your reply.
