I have on my r4 a solex 32DIS carb from a r5 TL, it came with his manifold and rocket cover; I changed the water pump to allow water flow through the carb base, too.
Now I bought another r5 TL manifold+carb kit, but this time I found out the carb is a Solex 32SEIA;
What are the differences between this carburettors, which one is better (if it's the case) for my r4?
Thank you very much...

hi there. I am almost finishing a 32DIS on my 4L, that came from a 89 Super5. And I did not connect the water heating to the carb body. Not for simplicity but for longevity of the gaskets. A original gasket repair kit cost €98. A installed triple core HT leads, Velleman ignition. I'm refurbishing the breaks to test the new set on the road but so far the sound is great!

Azazello, could you please check the sizes of the various jets and pipes of the 32SEIA carb? It would be interesting for me to compare against the (decidedly sluggish and thirsty) example that came standard on my '78 GTL

Thanks Robert
