tie rod ends handed or not

I am just about to change the tie rod ends on my 1984 R4 and I believe that they are handed but how do you tell which is which because the old ones are rusted beyond identification.

Hello Billy, I have just checked out the Der Franzose catalogue which you can find on-line, and they seem to list the tie-rod ends as not being handed. The ones they list are suitable for left or right side and are €30 each so I would try the local motor factors first or even Renault themselves. You never know. Regards Brian.

I bought mine from my local motor factors very cheaply indeed and they were not handed!
