Uploading photos into the Gallery.

How do you put pics on the gallery? All I keep getting is edit error or not enough space etc etc!
I've faithfully followed the instructions but zip/nix/nadda/nothing, it's extremely frustrating. I assume that I must be doing something WRONG but for the life of me I can't figure out what? Any ideas Clem the Cat?

I've been having some trouble with uploading big files recently. I think there's a limit somewhere on the server. 1Mb pictures with a .jpg extension seem OK (I've just uploaded one). Try resizing down to 1Mb or less, and adding them one at a time.

I'd like to replace the gallery with less horrible software, but haven't found anything less horrible yet.
