Tell me more please. 1400cc engine. I presume that this was donated by a Renault 5 Mk1? How straightforward is the conversion? Was the existing 1100cc transmission and gearbox used? Do tell....

You can take a 1400cc from a Mk1 Renault 5 and bolt it to a GTL gear box it will fit 1on 1. If you use the Renault 5 gearbox you'll end up in trouble and you'll have to modify the front beam of the chassis. Or swap the bell housing.
