Hi Endo. If it would help, I have mirror refurbishment parts for the early type mirrors (Geco & Cipa): Surround trims to replace the original cracked/crumbling plastic ones, convex mirror glass, etc.

Just a thought... Do you have grey plastic door handles?- As the chrome ones are not metal as I thought, but chrome plated plastic. There are chrome like aerosols which should give an acceptable finish.

Looking for mirror seals for CIPA 54 type door mirrors as fitted to the Hillman Imp Caledonian. Also the door mount gaskets. Or any help in how to dissassemble the mirror for rechroming.

Hi. Yes I have those in my website shop. The Cipa 54 is fitted to lots of late sixties/early seventies Renaults & Peugeots and Citroën DS Pallas. The kit comprises of a new grey surround in silicone rubber, a new convex glass and a closed-cell foam backing pad.

That particular mirror in pic is exactly same as my friends caravelle
Been trying to find one that design as all mine are the opposite pivot arm fitting which puts mirror wrong position for door frame to see out of

What type are fitted to Renault 4 ? (before the plastic ones). Are they Cipa or Geco? What number do they have stamped on the back?
