in restoring my van I broke the front windscreen... in a edd china mode (wheeler dealers?).but think
I might have shot myself in the foot....

any help would be realy greatfull.

Hello! Can't help directly but it's worth being aware that R4 car windscreens are slightly different to R4 vans...

I had an f6 one cut by windscreen fitter as they are flat
F4 van same as normal car
Shortly after making screen I found one in my collection of spares
Bit tricky for me to post though

Hi, if the front windscreen of a GTL is the same as an F4 then i have a spare one ?

R4 F4 windscreens are the same as the saloon, GTL etc. The F6 windscreens are taller. Both screens are totally flat, and these days you might be better getting one cut as Paul says. You would be better off if you had a laminated one the fitter could copy rather than a toughened one which would be just a pile of cubes and then involves a bit of guesswork for the fitter. I had a screen made that way once and the fit was pretty bad. Having said that, you should still be able to get one from Renault if not from a windscreen company provided you can pony up the correct part number. The saloon/F4 part number was 7704000431 for a laminated screen last time I looked.
