Good timing - have just found these NOS Meillor gaskets in the garage. Please send me a message via the 'Conversations' system if you're interested.
Your R4 looks great!

Hi Andy, Thanks very much for responding to my plea. As I keep bleating on, my inability to use a forum is becoming obvious. I am very interested in your gaskets and will hunt for the conversations system and get back to you. Peter

Hi Peter, just click on the 'Andy McGhee' to the left of one of his posts, then in the box that pops up, click on 'Start a conversation'.

All the best.

The gaskets are on their way!
Hi Andy They have arrived!! Thank you very much. I am gathering bits to do a service and tune as it is running rich. The manifold is blowing in two places, not surprisingly at either end where there are no studs to hold the manifold against the head. only the French would think you can get away that. thanks again for your help.
I have just found the introduction part of the forum so will put some details of the car and how it came into our lives.IMG_0503.JPG

thanks for the guidance. I will hopefully get to grips with it all eventually. I suspect, at the moment I am sending messages all over the place. Peter

Hi! A warm welcome to the forum! Do you have more photos to share? We love photos....

This thread is a good starter:

Greetings, Jurjen
Hi Jurjen, thank you for the welcome and the link which is very useful. As I said to Andy I will put some info on the introduction section and yes I have already built up quite a few pictures. I have always had MGB's but the Renault, which is actually Prue's is much more fun. The MG had to go as we only have one garage and as we live 100m from the sea, the Renault attracted more rust in the last four years than the previous 40+ years.
