Temperature sensors for guages

Hello,
after looking around for a bit to put a temperature guage on another car with a Renault engine in I found these dual contact sensors - one contact does the warning lamp as used on the 4 the other allows you to use temperature guage

I chose this one as I’ve a m14 thread, and want a warning at 110 C and have a 40 - 120 C guage to fit:

saves looking around the engine for a second sensor port which mine didn’t have.

But if you don't have a VDO gauge, it will not work correctly. Each brand has its own resistance / temperature curve.
