Renovation project Help

Hi All, I'm just reaching out as Ive owned and R4 since 2017 and Ive not been very active on this forum but i have occasionally check in.

Some of you may know of my car - Ben Combs wrote a blog about it when he sourced it from Slovenia and drove it back to the UK.
I bought it from Ben and after keeping it in the UK for a while. Brexit/Covid/Life prompted me to move to France for a while and I then took the car there full time and used it as my day to day vehicle there (I also transferred registration to France)
I have now moved back to the UK and I would like to the have the R4 restored. I've let the body get a little rough as it was stored outside and I think the chassis & suspension also need attention.

I am looking for someone who would like to take on the project for me. I have reached out to a number of people (included one in France) but many are either too busy or soon to retire so not keen on a big job.

My aim is to take the car back to Australia this year so the ideal timeframe is asap.
If anyone knows anyone I can speak to about this project please let me know, I would much appreciate it.

The car is still currently stored with a friend in France - so I am looking at either UK or France based options

(Note: It was maintained mechanically by Derek at Renospeed while I had it in the UK so it has always run very well)

Hi Natalie. There is a very good Renault 4 specialist Garage just a few K east of Brive in France. Its called the Grizzly Garage, at Aubazine. Very nice chap running it who speaks some English. I have used him a couple of times and very happy. Mechanical and body work. Brive is on the A20 about 70 k south of Limoges. They are on the road to Tulle.
 
Hi Edward, Many thanks - unfortunately Aubazine is probably not practical for me to get to - my R4 is in Pas-de-calais.. But thanks for sharing the info - you never know I may need to use it.
 
Hi All,
After ages searching for someone to restore my Renault it seems I may have to give up and sell it as the time i had before relocation is fast expiring. One final pleas e is anyone knows of some one who ca restore a Renault 4GTL 1986 by Sept 2024 Please let me know..
