    Multi-tools - What do I need?

Best bit if kit I've ever bought, I don't buy tools often as most of them are pants, my Homebase special is the same as the Screwfix ones, just different badges, I've cut studs off, sanded doors, undercut door frames whilst laying flooring, cut the tongues off floor boards to get boards out all...

    Fuel Tank Repair

We clean them out with water, then run an exhaust into the tank whilst working to fill it with carbon monoxide, weld outside to keep the fumes away.

New Speedometer for imported Renault 4

You're only in Lewis, you could do worse than ask Mr Reno, Paul of this parish for some help, On my Transit I have markings at the MPH points with little stickers, but on the digital speedometer on my wife's Twingo, no one can tell anything at MOT time..

A tale for two 4s (GTLs)

Oh and for seized bolts like the one pictured above I bought a Sonic crafter from Homebase when they were on offer, they are a vibrating saw, and you can get bi metal blades to cut soft metal with. They are neat, and far easier to use than an angle grinder in tight spaces.

A tale for two 4s (GTLs)

A little late now, but I prefer to strip a car down as little as possible. What do you need to do to strip everything off the chassis?

    Here's Harvey!

I've seen an awesome way of masking wheels up the other day, they used a pack of playing cards placed vertically in between the tyre and rim all the way round worked a treat....

    Here's Harvey!

Yup I'll do something similar. I just thought it would brighten the car up little if I tidied the wheels up.

    Here's Harvey!

I may have the opportunity to buy a Porta Mig, which are British built with a Euro torch connection, they're not cheap and are built to order when new. Hopefully it'll go some way to sorting out my welding, I have a gasless mig which I can weld fine with but it doesn't do thin steel, gasless...

    Here's Harvey!

The paint is some heat resistant stuff I had knocking around for exhaust pipes, I thought with all the 29hp of power I may get the rims a bit warm :-D It says silver grey on the can, looks just like primer to me! I'll probably spray them a more silvery silver colour though and lacquer the top.

    Front inner wing removal

I'd undo them, put a bit of wd40 on to help loosen the nuts, leave for a couple of days then loosen them off, failing that I'd cut them off and replace with copper.

    Here's Harvey!

I suppose i ought to update this thread a little, Harvey has been sat in my workshop doing very little due to my lack of enthusiasm, mainly because my welders so shit! Never ever buy a Sip welder! I'm now in the process of sorting a better welder out and should be fired hack up to get this...
