    I have been down this route and the problem is caused or exaggerated by replacement front shock absorber being too long allowing lower arm to droop too far Genuine Renault shocks have stiffer rubber bushes and approx 10mm shorter Somewhere in the midst of time I have posted about this B4

    It is, possible to weld the sections that are missing in a different position to strengthen bonnet Had to do this on friends R4 we fitted front radiator when it got converted to 5 gordini power Will try and find pics and post later

    I think the belt fitted is too long as the tensioner shouldn't come up past horizontal and would normally sit at approx 45 degrees and tensioned upwards as belt needs adjusting

    I seem to remember this problem when I converted the yellow peril to Rhd The 845 steering rack and the 1108 GTL steering rack has a different length shaft between the flex disc and the rack body I currently have a customers 11:08 GTL at my workshop if you want some measurements under the bonnet
