Renault 4GTL Steering Rack Rubber Pad

Hi All

I would like to change the circular steering rack rubber pad. The pad is secured with two factory fitted heavy duty dome headed rivets. I ordered the replacement rubber pad but it does not come with any fittings. Could I use ordinary bolts with locking nuts or are there special bolts for this job?

Please see photo attached of the part I want to change.

Any advise will be gratefully received.

Remove the rivets and use the same type of bolts and locking nuts as the steering column is attached to the flexible disk.

Be aware that unless genuine Renault part
replacement may only last 18 months as Chinese copy is crap rubber
