As I posted here en there some modifications I did in the past, because of the engine change I do at the moment. it's better to start a thread.

Anyway you can folllow this untill now on my webside starting on page1 http://jeffr4.weebly.com/project-1400-cc-monoinjectie-1.html untill page 5.

Currently I am changing the steering, brakemastercylinder, fuellines etc, but if I finished a part, I will post it in this thread.

Finnaly the intention is to let the R4 with the injection-engine drive on E85 bio-ethanol

As there was not enough space anymore I mounted the bendix ignition on the side, the ECU could be placed inside of the car next to the welded part

Because of the bigger manifold/injection etc, I could not use the original brake fluid reservoir( to close) and rotated the maincylinder so that opening are faceing up and used parts of the VW Beetle as seals/plugs/reservoir and holder to mount these more up on the bulkhead.

As I use the lower opening for the downpipe/lambda, the brake lines are using the upper hole and lateron I will adjust the lines, when I install a stand-alone dual servo.

Last week I received the E85 bio-ethanol conversion kit from the manufacturer/supplier out of Hungary! This kit was the only one I could find, which is suitable for the Peek&Hold Central Injection System and has a switch for the ethanol mode and a cold-start system's temperature probe.....I cannot wait...but first finish the engine itselves:o

Certainly not unimportant is the fuel delivery and the injection metallines ,I reversed, so that they could be attached to the original R4 fuel-lines.
Because the lines have different diameters: 6mm from the R4 /8 from the Super5 and 12 mm on the fuel-pump, I used different tubes and also different connectors, which I've ordered from England.( Not to be found in Holland!)

In a later stage, when I use the E85 conversion kit, I'm going to replace all the lines with 8mm coated and also a nylon fuel tank.

Did you use the original fuel tank pick up? Where does the return line to the tank go?

Angelo,
As I will change, later on, the fuel-tank (plastic) and use all 8 mm teflon lines for the E-85, I now use the original - and also the return as there was already.
I found some time to post pictures on my website about some metal parts ( battery-holder,traverse), but mainthing I had to extend the wires one by one with the right colour, because the dynamo is now on the bulkhead-site and the belt , I taped all the wires and into the special black tube
,installed the wires onto the dynamo.

Although "very important sunday family oblications" I could post this morning some pictures about the adjustment on the little heating-radiator, as because of the waterpump I had to make a hole higherup the bulkhead for the tubes and adjust the tubes etc.etc

Part : Juni 2012 Koeling : kachelradiateur en plaatsing van grotere radiateur

So yet to place pics about the XXXXXXLarge radiator and double fans

Glad to hear your work is still progressing... I'll wait patiently for the twin fan heater photos, very interesting matter...

The cooling installation with the two windmills is built-in.

I used the radiator of a Citroen C15 /Visa 1.9 Diesel (the correct dimensions) and I bought this one new, as I only could find the one with the attached reservoir ( and it's to high , because of the fillercap) and will use the R4 stand-alone reservoir , the frame with the twin-fans I took of one from a car-scrapping company.

I love the Dutch Pancakes with syrup and/or bacon ... ... tasty.

So when the original super5 air filter did not fit, too large ( against the shiftrod and traverse ) and the height.... even the hood could not close, I needed an alternative, ..... and in England I found an air filter type which fits :
The Speedogragph Open Air PANCAKE Filter, Blank. so I could make the exact position and opening by myself

It is summer and holiday and life is great, but occasionally some time to work on the R4 projects.
Anyway the coolingsystem is connected, see my webpage for details :

The downpipe adjustment and still waiting for my Simons exhaust, because the wholesaler had to order it by the manufactor in Sweden.

And as this project has almost come to an end, I started a new project together with a friend for the wintertime :

A lot of time I spend on the construction of the new kitcar,so...... but as I wanted to install the exhaust, my R4, showed some rusty parts, so first of all I have to solve this problem, before I can go on.

As this project turned out to be working well, the next step will be a modern type of turbo like the Garrett GT 1224 type for more efficiency like in the Smart or VW Golf 1. litre engines

So, the first step has been made and I bought a R5GTT manifold, without the old Garrett T2 turbo ( still on the picture), because I will use a modern type Garrett and must make a connection-pipe with different flanges as the old type has a square and the new ones triangular, but now I can use the pipe as a downpipe and buildin the lambda !!
