1977 R4 safari

Hi all,
We found a 1977 R4 safari with a fase 2 hood.
She stood in a greenhouse for 25 years

So the paint is shot and needs redoing. Chassis has some minor rust issues so a body off is needed.

The engine is seized up. It’s in need of a complete overhaul.

Most importantly this safari has the original seats.
Apart from some superficial mildew flakes it is in good shape.

Those seats are a rare find! I'm sure that Angel was looking for a pair

I am actually looking for the even harder to find Jogging seats - roughly the same but without the headrests.

This one should be 1976 model year, which makes it even more rare. Congratulations on your find! It should also have the special door panels, which are something like metallic beige in colour.

The original Dutch registration is 2 February 1977. So the actual factory built could have been 1976

It has the beige metallic door cards to.

To be honest, we are bringing this one to a Renault wizard in Slovenia to do all the body work.
The engine, gearbox and brakes I’ll do myself.

I do not know if the rust loves the 4L or the 4L loves rust.
