Hi guys, I have this R4 which has been in my garage now for 8 years!!!
Engine completely rebuilt with new:
Pistons
Liners
Bearings
Gaskets
Water pump
Temp sender
Fuel pump
And everything else that is required.
Painted engine block.
New front and rear wings.
New headlamps (£80)
Exhaust silencer (£50)
New chrome bumpers (£200)
Other bits with it, can’t list it all.
All bodywork prepared and mostly primed.
I’ve sprayed under the bonnet so we could get the engine back in.
All welded and painted underneath (by previous owner.)
The car is complete, though bits to fit back on, like chrome trim, door fixtures and door cards, windows, even a Webasto fold-back
roof!
I have a choice of bonnet styles (60s or 70s)
The old style one is brand new, unpainted and cost about £550!
There is also the proper alloy grill for that bonnet ((£35) and a badge (£28)
All panels are genuine Renault parts.
I even have the original chrome hub caps.
I hate to think what I’ve spent here, don’t expect to get it back but can someone give me an idea of what it should be worth?
Just got it started on a drop of fuel, first turn of the key!
I love this thing, I just don’t have time now to do it justice.
I figure it’s cost around £3000 so far.
Anyone?
