well not had much to say for a while and not much time for restoration work either but i have managed to rescue 2 more from the great crusher in the sky (well one definitely, silver and from a Renault garage believe it or not ) and was owned by a club member on here about four years ago, does need a lot of TLC and various ball joints and rubbers but very good underneath and no sighs of any welding at all (has been wax oiled by the look of it and previously very well maintained.
The other one blue which had come up from Cornwall 6 years ago and been garaged ever since, it needs ball joints, brakes, pipes, all gaiters as there all perished which was to be expected standing all that time but paintwork and underneath are quite good no signs of any welding so it should'nt take much time and effort to put back on road reasonable quickly.

The blue one is lovely. Well done. You are overtaking me in the collecting league.

Yes the blue one is quite good slight surface rust in a few places but nothing serious, but when one comes along you just can't let it go, as you know ! !

Well done Bobble.

Will you be winning any popularity contests with your neighbors I wonder?

We have a gent down the road who has had 5 Land Rovers on his front garden for 10 years.

On the other hand this is all out balanced by saving R4s

Fortunately the neighbors don't really bother as i don't make loud noises at the weekend when everyone's normally home, i do it in the week when no one's around so i can make as much as i like within reason.

How ever i do get people slowing down to look and am known for quite a radius as the Renault 4 guy.

We all have to do our bit to keep them on the road for as long as possible.

slightly off topic but what land rovers are they? are the head lamps in the grill panel or wings?

Re. 2 Saved from the Crusher.

Dear Bobble,
Well done for saving these 2 from the crusher.
Are they for sale?
If so what is the price?
Could you please tell me what the mileages are?
Many Thanks,
Sam 119

Well done Bobble! It does seem metallic coloured fours fare far worse than the standard colours though!

Ahem! (well he is 1990 model) :¬)

My 1991 GTL in the same colour as jjad's still has shiny paintwork, just a lot more scratched! It does need frequent cleaning though, or a mouldy sort of growth takes over like you see on Bobble's new silver beast. That might clean up surprisingly well though.
