A broken distributer for 845cc

Hi, Im looking for a distributor for the 845cc engine. Interestingly the only important part for me is that the shaft and casing are in good condition. I'll be hacking it to make a cam position sensor you see so all the springs, points, weights etc will be removed. All it will be doing is spinning a toothed wheel.
If anyone had such a thing I'd be delighted to hear from you. Many thanks.

Hi Nicky, I can't help you with the part but this hints at an interesting project... what do you need the cam position sensor for? Electronic fuel injection? Do share!

Hi,
Nothing too interesting Im afraid. I picked up a cheap megajolt and edis electronic ignition system from ebay. Ideally it needs a 36-1 toothed wheel on the crank shaft with a VR sensor for timing. I figure running a 72 - 2 wheel in the dizzy casing will have to do due to the inaccessibility of the crank shaft. Alternatively I might be able to do something at the front of the engine on the cam shaft pulley.

72-2 wheel on the camshaft pulley should work better. Space is really confined into that tiny distributor.

Hi Angel,
Im thinking that might be the way to go now too. That way I can keep the existing ignition system in place to compare with the timing generated by the megajolt as I get it setup.
