Hi:
I am new to the forum, my name is Antonio and I live in Spain.
I have a problem with a carburetor zenith 28 if.

The engine choked by excessive gas in the intake manifold (liquid)

Anyone know what could be the problem.

Thank.

Pdt: Sorry if my vocabulary is not correct.

Hi Antonio, it might be worth to check the float needle valve - is it closing?
Is the floater and the mechanism ok ? If not the fuel pump could inject too much fuel into the carb.

This explosion chart of the carb might help.

Have a look at number 3 and 17. Also number 1 (filter) should be hcecked if all is clean. Are you using a fuel filter?
When opening the carb, make sure you have a new gasket number 16 available

Thanks for your answer MarieR4

I checked the number 3 with a pressure gauge (should be 2 bar pressure).
Failure to 1.5 bar pressure and loses pressure copper washer (not pressure valve)

Could this be the fault?

What can I use sealant that is resistant to petrol (gasoline)?

Thanks for your answer.

Antonio.

In response to your question, I'm not using fuel filter, but may need to place one.

The float works well.
I will try to solve the problem Teflon and sealing compound, if possible (also at number 10)

I'll upload some photos of the process so you can see.

Thanks for your help.

I still have the broken carburetor.
I used teflon and sealing compound and has not worked

Could I use a solex instead of a zenith?
What model?

Thanks
