I’m sure you guys over the pond worry about heat rather than air.
But here in Bucaramanga S.A. it’s about 80 degrees or more 365 days a year.
So I had Air installed in my R4 GTL.
It was a big job but well worth it.
:)

In the US there is Vintage Air. They have a wide variety of A/C installation solutions.

Scroll down to catalog (click on it) and have fun reading! kits are easy to install. Hardest part is fabricating a bracket for the compressor and running pipes through the bulkhead (you need to double check measurements before you cut..

Can you send us picture of the compressor and other engine bay components as well? A friend of mine has an A/C (among other mods) equipped R4, and the previous owner who did the fitting had no other place to put the compressor than directly over the gearbox. That meant he had to use the Renault 5 shift lever on the floor. Did you manage to fit the compressor and clear the gear lever?

Mine is a left hand driver seat. So I'm not sure if that makes any dif. But he reversed the comp and all was fine. Will post pics soon.
