Another 2 years test passed.....

Took the car in for its Controle Technique this afternoon, passed with no advisories, a completely clean sheet.
Whilst I was there I did ask the technician about changing it to 'vehicule de collection' but in his opinion it would devalue the car.
Happy to get someone else to have a good look round it every 2 years anyway.

Why did he think it would de value the car. How old is it?

Its a 1987 model, not really sure about the devaluation thing, it does mean you only have to have a CT every 5 years which apparently is not quite so strict, and it can have some effects on insurers ability to write it off after an accident. I suspect it may be because the government sets the rules re usage for 'collection' vehicles, and if they changed them to weekend use only for example that would have an effect on prices.
