Hello !
Thought I should say Hi, I have just started repairing a renault 4.

I was wondering if its worth me starting a restoration thread as I appear to be doing it with less resources than the pictures other members have posted.

Mainly a lack of a shed!

Im using what appears to be a nifty technique where ive jacked the body up on spare tires and roll the chassis out for repairs and back underneath at night to protect it.

I also found rocking the body from side to side broke the seal making it easy to lift off.

Luckily the R4 is one of my more sane interests after the

Welcome to this Superb 4um! -I'm sure we all want you to post as you get along..
Jeez! I seem to have taken over all of the forum tonight as I'm just sitting round waiting to go on holiday. Anyone think I need to get a life ???

Decided to tidy the underside today. Was feeling strong and lifted it up myself :) (Turning it on its side makes it easy to work !)

Generally its quite good a couple of existing patches are starting to go rusty but apart from that and a little at the front its quite good. (Already done the rear chassis leg welding)

Been really rubbish with the posts !
Car is now back and going again !
(Had a bit of a failure with the weather - so painting the bolt on panels has been delayed until next year !)
