Anybody got a Tomtom satnav?

If you have, did you know you can download an R4 icon instead of the arrow that marks your position on the road!

Chuffed to bits when I discovered that

HI Lobster! talking about sat.navs BEWARE that Garmin seems to think their units have a lifespan of down to 3years!!! - 3 years after I bought my ridicolous expensive unit they say that"Europe has gotten bigger"so maps wont fit-and their home-page says this only AFTER you have paid for the update!! Garmin is a TOTAL HOAX!!
- I am still pursuing this matter as it's not the plastic-box Made in Taiwan that's the real product here-that one only serves as a platform for the ability to pay&download map-updates.My case has been brought for Garmin-Europe -That is Garmin UK, and they still seems to think they can F**** me...
-It's funny what a drop of super-glue does on these unit tho' even in the shelves -R.

Funny you should say that, I was messing about with it in the first place because I downloaded a Central / Eastern Europe map I need but guess what, it doesn't have sufficient memory to have both the new map and the existing UK map on at the sametime. Not very helpful really.

I bet they'd sell me a new one that would be ok though...

Here you can find "Back to the future" De Lorean, GhostBuster's car or Herbie, but stil no r4...

And it seems that with a little program you can use your images on tomtom 7... So not a r4, your r4!

Dont bet on them selling you a brand new one that is ok either-as the latest one I bought (nüvi 3790T) first went Totally blank on me on our way back from Thenay.
all maps etc just disappeared ,all that was left was speed/direction:NW and the marker-car.
-So had to send it to Garmin for service-You know what?? they (Garmin)tells me it needs a Memorycard (£35) as the nüvi 3790T is Too small (They didn't tell me that buying it 4 FOUR weeks earlier) therefore-

BEWARE OF GARMIN! -to me they are just like "ashalt-layers" but With an office...
the upside is If they really want to cross swords with someone-they have picked the right one-as I have nothing better on my plate than stooping down to their level... continues -R.

No, its not linked anywhere from t'internet as far as I know. But heres how to do it -

Plug tomtom into computer

If you have tomtom home installed on your computer you need to sign in. If you haven't got tt home your device should prompt you to download it anyway

Once you are in tt home then click on 'Add Voices, Cameras etc' (I think -I'm doing this from memory!) then 'Images & Icons' then 'Car symbol'

From here you can search all the different icons and select which to download.

If you struggle I'll try and do a couple of screen grabs of it.
