You know, I really can't make up my mind. They are both beautiful and ugly at the same time. I would definitely remove the bull bar from the Hummer.
If you gave me both, I would sell the Hummer and use the money to buy the Citroen van, a DS21 Safari, a GSA and an immaculate 2CV and have enough money left to keep them running for ever!

Did I ever mention that I used to specialise in Citroens when in the motor Trade?

The Citroen grumpy van is the coolest vehicle ever made. It defines beauty in function. The Hummer only defines heavy.

...Citroen Grumpy..

..Thats a great name Clementine and 'the coolest vehicle ever made' wow, what a compliment and ...... as it lives around the corner from me I am going to buy it tomorrow for you !!!

I thought "grumpy" was in common use as a name for the H van, but having searched Google I can't see much of a mention. So let's coin the phrase. "Grumpy", "Grumpy van" or "Grumpy truck" are all good.

I have heard of other people referring to the Renault 4 as a "Noddy" so at least that's not just me, though the urban slang dictionary suggests a "Noddy box" is a police car.

Maybe I'm behind the times.

..That Bloody Hammer and Nail...

.....Hopefully that Hammer and Nail wont have driven you all mad yet but Clementine, I have now changed my Avatar symbol to it as you may have noticed, but why doesnt it 'work' like the rest of us?

...Clementine, any news of the MIG welding wire?

...and Bluebell when do I get my prize for the photos?

Patience is a virtue.......

Ian, you'll have to wait until the competition ends on 31st January for the results of the Interesting Photo Competition. The judges tell me that impatient people will be marked down.

There's still plenty of time for late entries!

Just back this minute from Paris, which provided several exciting photo opportunities for Ermintrude. :yellowre: Also we were able to search for fabulous prizes in the soldes.

My avatar had flashing headlights but they didn't work either. Perhaps it's a good thing!

Sorry Ian - forgot about the wire. The guy I buy things from is off skiing for a week. If you are in a hurry pop into Halfords, find the welding area and look at the wire. The one you want will be called "flux cored mild steel welding wire" and might mention the word "gasless". Don't buy anything that doesn't mention "flux cored" or "gasless". The size will be 0.8mm or 0.9mm.

I didn't realise animated avatars don't work. Does seem like a good thing.
