can anyone recommend a contactles ignition system?

Luminition would probably fit (haven't tried it on a R4). That's just a replacement for the points using an optical sensor, but not a replacement for the advance etc which I believe 123 does.
I have Lumitition on my MG as points wear quickly on that. I've found points last well on the GTL so haven't bothered.

I HAD IT FITTED AT A LOCAL GARAGE FOR 35 EURO AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT.
