Whilst I've got my car off the road to carry out all the little repairs Im going to treat it to its first stereo, I've got the console to fit and will be locating a suitable looking blaupunkt or something simply, now what speakers should I look for and where should I place them. Any suggestions?
Regards Richard

Hi Richard
I don't know whether you'd be interested, but I have a set of blue/red tartan doorcards - all 4 have period Blaupunkt speakers fitted.

Andy could you share a picture, I've got the original savane door cars in place with all black seats at the moment, be good to see the colour might be a nice upgrade

As promised, a couple of pictures.
The mark on the front door card is from where the door's been stored against the handle of another - it should come out easily. I'll clean them up if you're interested.

Hi Richard. I have a back "parcel shelf "with holes cut in for speakers , if its of interest. Edwin

Hi Richnd!
make two "kickpanels" to siton top of box-frame In front of A-pillars .draw simple template/Use plywood/drill hole(s) hook up speakers now squeeze plywood
-panels into place if measured correct they will fit & sit snugly in there and be held in place without any screws or fasteners. In addition they are not in the way
of anything. If you Really want to go to town there will be enough room on the panels to mount small tweeters aswell.Think about stuffing some soft sound-
deadening stuff behind speakers/panels. While in there spray some THIN-anti-corrotion gooe. Now go clap yourself on Both shoulders on a job Well done! PPS: You might get two midsize Two-way speakers. I've got a hang-up which involves cutting the leads going to the Tiny tweeter solder on contacts then
connect Only these to the front-end (radio) now get a cheapish 2way amp -put under set.connect leads to/from the woofer. instead of introduce loads of
distortion when using bass/treble-controls on "radio" You use VOLUME controls Only to get more or less Ummphh or Tweeeeet. Well-I Said it was a hang-up!
