When I should route wiring for my wideband lambda I saw a dodgy piece at the bulkhead above the steering axle. I knocked with a screwdriver and could hear it wasn't solid steel took away the putty and it reveals an what I guess a Sweden market collapsable steering column.
The other R4s have one piece steering axle (72 or earlier) the GreenOne is from 75 and have two piece collapsable variant that seem to been fitted afterwards on a finished car.
Hard to take pictures but it's an extra joint in the column.

It was standard equipment to Swedish market R4s since 1970 model year. French R4s had the two piece steering column fitted two years later, while other export countries received it in 1979.
