Could r5 engine fitt in r 4?

Hi ,
i have aproblem with my r4 gtl 1100 c"c
this kind of engine is totaly not available in our country ,but r5 from model 1987 1.4 ,1250 cc, 1100 cc also available, did this kind of engines can fitt in my r4 gtl ?

If it is a R5 'Mk2' model the engine won't fit. The earlier R5 'Mk1' engine will fit especially the 1100 and 1300 without any major modifications.

now adays i'm building another renault 4 engine ' i would like to ask: What is anormal ring gap . When meseuring the slive radios?
