early car register...

As a big fan of the early cars, by that I mean up to 1975 when they moved over to the plastic grill, I would be fascinated to keep a register of know cars, in particular RHD models.

I realize the Renault clubs, and possibly Renospeed Derek, may already know this but I would like to try and get us early folk together.

How many left lists very few as SORN or taxed, so there must be unlicensed projects out there and neglected cars that have fallen off the DVLA system.

I also guess that owners may not want their details and car registration numbers freely available on the internet, but we could PM each other. The information below is all taken from data available online elsewhere.

Lets start by look at the HML stats for the "loaf of bread grill" up to 1967 cars and vans.

1961 -1 listed - Is this 565EPX which I have not seen in a few years.
1962 -1 listed - Is this Renault own car 8699MG or Noddy 369CWN
1963 - nothing
1964 - nothing
1965 - nothing
1966 - 1 listed my car JLK442D
1967 - 3 listed hopefully this includes my old car URO882E plus the scrapper I sold a few months ago and PPE322E sold recently.

So there must be more, I am still trying to get my hands on a Green car LMO136E which sits neglected in a local front garden.

Any more to tell me about?...

Stuart

There is JVJ 410E (my '67 Gordini) which was heavily restored and might be better described as a 2010 car. Also the car Bobble hasn't picked up yet -NYC something.. a knackered '66.

Is JTL656F still around ? 452 blue, bought brand new from AC Williams in January 1968 would be nice if it was as it was my dads one and only new car.

Yes, that's the one. I tried selling it myself, I ended up part exchanging it for a classic Peugeot and the dealer then sold it to an Aussie couple. I've still got half a loft full of early 4 spares to sort out and sell!
