I won those wheels that were on ebay:eek:
someone mentioned they need special nuts what are these and are they available?

Funny old things. Assuming they are the same as Gordini wheel nuts I'm sure someone mentioned buying a set from the states - well worth a forum search on that one. Couple of links to keep you going:

Tried searching "america nuts" but nothing came up. Which is odd.

OH MY GOOOOOORD
I have them already:eek::eek::eek:
I have a full set of these

They were given me in a box of R4 bits
The chrome is a bit rusty but otherwise perfect, glad I won the wheels now
The guy has also got oem studs for sale funnily enough although mine are nut type
I need to get a friend to pick them up now and bring them over:roll:

just to get really technical
some of the early wheels made 1975- 1980 needed sleeve nuts with a rotating flange section have got some equally grotty looking ones at my workshop these are (or were )black not chrome
these wheels were originally a "" renault boutique " dealer acessory
when fitted at factory 1980 onwards 5tx and flair nut design changed to gordini type as above but also black
easy to tell which type as holes in rim much bigger !!

So does that mean I might not be able to use them?
I need black ones?
I will get them here I am sure £51 isnt a lot for these rare wheels so I dont mind

dont panic looking at pics think your nuts will be fine (ooh-er)
bit of along way for you to get them though !!
itried to buy an easter(R4) bonnet off ebay and got outbid by a pound !

They look very similar to the ones on our 1988 Peugeot 505 except that as Mr reno-139 says they have a rotateing flange these are satin chrome finish.So have a look around older pugs i'll check there size if you send me size details.

have found abox of nuts have attached photos these are for earlier type as have had a PM from a new member in france asking for some and thought you might like to see my nice green gloves i am wearing these days

have got nearly 2 sets but there apeears to be two depths of sleeve
will keep one set myself as i know there are some of these wheels in the barn
somewhere

ps these are 17mm hex ,peugots are 19 mm hex and larger thread on stud
