Hi to all
The engine mountings are to be replaced. I have performed the test suggest by Malcolm to find out, finally, the reason of the knocks sounds from below the car. So when I performed the test in first gear having, the hand break put into and let the engine run I have seen the front side engine lifts up/down according the clucK releasing/engaging.
At least the front engine mountings are to be replaced.
My first question now is :
1) how many engine mounting are there ? I presume three of them : left+right side and the third one in the middle approx close to the front cluck/gearbox.
2) Wishing to replace the engine mountings by myself, can you give me details how to proceed ?
3) Can you provide me some photos or techincal layout ( or a link to previous threads ) of the engine mountings of R4
4) what is approx the cost for each new engine mounting ?
