Fleeting Glances and Continental R4s on the Small Screen

Further to my last thread of Renault 4s on UK tv with visible registration numbers, I am posting a list of 'now you see them, now you don't' glimpses of Renault 4s and also continental Renault 4's which have featured on tv.

6) 'Pie in the Sky', 'New Leaf', Season 4 Episode 4, aired 6/10/96 (2mins and 17 mins in approx), blue R4GTL, minor role, a couple of glimpses.

7) Return of the Saint, 'Collision Course - Sixth Man', Season 1 Episode 17, aired 14/1/79, blue R4F4 van.

8) Floodtide, 'Prisoners', Season 1 Episode 6, aired 19/7/87, white R4TL and also 'Snowstorm', Season 1 Episode 7, aired 26/7/87, white R4F4 van.

9) The Knock, Season 2 Episode 13, aired 21/7/96, beige R4TL.

10) Birds of a Feather, 'We'll Always Have Majorca', Season 3 Episode 13, aired 25/12/91 (47 mins in approx), red Spanish R4TL posing as a taxi.

11) The New Avengers, 'Three Handed Game', Season 1 Episode 11, aired 21/1/77, white R4TL.

12) Auf Wiedersehen Pet, 'Scoop', Season 2 Episode 10 (41 mins in approx), yellow Spanish R4F4 van.

My classic car is actually a Daf 33, although I LOVE Renault 4s, hence my presence on this forum! The Thames TV series from the early 1970s entitled "Van Der Valk" has a HUGE number of street scenes, albeit in Holland, which features all sorts of cars, including loads of Renault 4s! Others are Simcas, Opels, all sorts of Citroens and of course, those ubiquitous Dafs! I've been watching the whole series on a box set, and they're brilliant!
