I am back onto my project after months of unrelated distractions. I am cleaning up all of the front suspension components ready for re-bushing and reassembly. My car is a very early model R1123 three speed 1963 car, oval plate number 12499 and diamond plate number 3761508. It has the small front brake slave cylinders. They are completely corroded up and the brake service guys here tell me they are beyond redemption, so I need to replace them. The suppliers I have contacted do not have these early model units. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the rear slave cylinders from the Renault 12 were identical to the front slaves of the Renault four. Can anyone confirm that for me please. It seems that the Renault 12 units are able to be purchased. The part numbers on the corroded units are 214007 99 for the left side and 214005 99 for the right. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
