PS Sad news from the wet West France front - its been raining cats and dogs for 7 days non stop and my house in France is now completely under water - extraordinarily enough the river rose 4 metres over night and not only did I drown in my sleep, I also lost my hugely valuable collection of Bob Seger cd's....

Why did you start a new post when you could have revived and old one you started with a picture of st nick?

Your bob seger cd's have washed up here on the river cam along with an echo chainsaw and a pair of waders. I will wait for the tide to change before sending them back.

Remember a Toyota yaris might be a good town car but they make for terrible append boats!

Hi, sorry to hear the house in Mareil got flooded, it must have been a shock to see the water coming all the way up that hill :)

A festive season idea Team.

At this time of the year, when the roadblocks come up with great
regularity, I would like to share a personal experience about drinking
and driving. As you well know, some of us have been known to have
had brushes with the authorities on our way home from an
occasional social session over the years.

A couple of nights ago, I was out for an evening with friends and had
a couple of pints of ale and some rather nice red wine. Knowing full well
I may have been slightly over the limit, I did something I've never
done before - I took a cab home. Sure enough, I passed a police road
block but, since it was a cab, they waved it past.

I arrived home safely without incident, which was a real surprise, as I
have never driven a cab before and am not sure where I got it or what
to do with it now that it's in my garage.
