You definitely need the clear coat

• Please do not forget: The Renault Metallic-Lack Vert Borneo also needs a clear coat . Without clear lacquer, the varnish remains dull and the pigments do not appear.

Yeah but my old paint is over 40 years old and it does not blinc anymore. So I think it cood enough to use without clear coat....
