It comes out half way, but something keeps distributors teethwheel on way?
Howto take that pulp which is over distributors roller off?

Hello Frankk, the camshaft cannot come out because the distributor gear is blocking it.

The gear is held in place by a bush which you can see from the top once the distributor is removed.

The bushing should have an inside thread so you might be able to screw in a threaded bar and pull the bush upwards.

If your engine is out the car, the best way is to knock it out from the bottom using a round bar (such as the extension bar from from your socket set)

Have a look here::

Just what I need. BUT I tryied to knok it underside but it didnt move at all. So how hard you can hit the distributor drive bottom that it moves the bush away?
When I knok it it sounds like solid iron, its wery tied????

Is the screw M22x2mm or 22x1.75 ?

I tried different ways to get it out for about 2 days. Renault had a special tool to pull it out but those tools don't exist any more.

I took my engine to a garage and he tapped it out for me. It wasn't one big tap, but lots of little taps. He used a round bar from his socket set and hit it gently with a hammer. If you hit too hard I think you might damage the gear, so lots of little taps are better. It's a very tight fit!!!

I'm not sure what size the thread is, I thought it was 20mm. If you can get the correct size threaded bar, then put 1 or 2 big washers over the top and then a nut. Screw the nut down as tight as you can and it will start to pull the bar upwards. It puts tension on the bush. Then you can tap from the bottom as well.

Remember when you put it back there is a measurement of between 0,15mm and 0,45mm space between the bush and the gear.

Good luck it's not an easy job

Screw is M22 x 2.0mm threath. Blacksmith did 120 mm long 22mm screw. It was 3 euro. I took ironpipe 30 mm long, inside about 31 mm, so that the bush can go inside. Bush is 20 mm high and 30 mm wide.
Two washer and suitable nut with 32 mm key I got it out allmoust easy. Used ice-spray -50 celsius. Easy. No any tappin and hittin with hammer. Gear drop out when turnin motor other way.
And camsaft out easy.

Easy job.

Well done Frankk and thanks for the update and the information.

Please tell us what is "ice spray" as I've never heard of it before. It seems to have worked very well and I think a lot of people would like to use it

Remember when you put it back to leave a space between the gear and the bush
0,15mm to 0,45mm

Can says Freezer: directed jetspray. I just bought it from usual auto part shop. Used twenty years loosing rosted screws n nuts and that kind pressed connections.
That your cap would be difficult. I measured on top that plug is 5.0 mm inside. I hope I can do it right.

When you put the gear back in, make sure it engages with the gear on the cam shaft.
Then put a 90 degree feeler gauge of 0,55mm on top of the gear and then press down the bush. Maybe you'll have to tap it down or use your freezer spray to make the bush smaller.
You can make your own feeler gauge with 0,5mm piece of tin or thin metal. Just bend it to 90 degree.
Either way, the gear must not be too tight against the cam shaft. There has to be some play for movement.
I made a little mistake before, the gap is between 0,15 and 0,55mm. (not 0,45)
Good luck

Frankk, it is not the measurement on top of the plug (bush) it is between plug (bush) and the gear.
