Leaded petrol

I understand that in engines not designed for unleaded if you put a fill of leaded in every now and then it protects the valve seats.

ps
please correct if complete tosh

Better off using an additive such as Castrol Valvemaster then you can be absolutely sure that your valve seats are protected.

I'm another user of Castrol Valvemaster, I use the plus version though.

I have drive many cars with unleaded fuel for over 20 years witout any problem. I have mesured the valveclearance and find no wear.

Where can you buy 4 star? My local garage sells "super" still which I took to be the LRP equivalent?
