Mildred in the Autumn...

Just thought I would share a photo...

Mildred is lovely to drive since I replaced her carb. Have been enjoying some beautiful autumnal drives.

This one is a keeper I think

it's a beautiful time of the year, the colours are amazing. In South Africa its either winter or summer but in Europe the seasons are more pronounced

Drove her to Somerset this weekend. Took this picture at Weston-super-mare, which is a contrast in colours to the last one

This is the longest drive I have done in Mildred since she came back to life. 400 miles there and back, achieving 50 mpg.

She drove very happily all the way there and back and was surprisingly nippy climbing the hills around Cheddar Gorge. Its just the motorway journeys where I miss the extra oomph of a GTL engine!

Another great picture Chris, you have a good eye if you don't mind me saying so. That is a good run you gave Mildred, just what she needs eh? and 50 mpg, I reckon that's pretty good.

Hello, 50 mpg is good, but on the Thenay-run I did slightly better: 4.5 l/100km, fully loaden, but the speed was about 85 km/h.
