Missing Reverse

Well... not really missing but certainly hard to find.
Basically when trying to get reverse gear I usually end up in 4th - I get reverse about 1 time in 5 - which can be embarassing.
Is there a known problem with the 4 speed HA0 gearbox?
Does this indicate an issue that I should be worried about?

As this is in a DRK, the gearlever coming out of the gearbox is S shaped to bring the top end further back (and I suspect the nylon grommet sits a bit lower).
Equally, as it's only 440kg I can push it backwards when I can't get reverse

Reverse should normally be easy to select and is not a weak point of these gearboxes.

I suspect that the problem comes from the DRK gearshift lever arrangement - the joint bush may not allow full movement of the gearbox shift lever to the reverse position because the angle between the two parts of the shift lever is wrong.

ciao . controllerei anche la tensione della frizione .
fai 2 prove . innesta manualmente la retromarcia dal bastone piantato nel cambio.( in 2 persone ).


Come ti hanno consigliato , se il problema è nella leva di comando con il buco consumato....
puoi mettere sul bastone verticale un pezzo di tubo da giardino per diminuire il gioco . io ho fatto cosi

I'll check that out.
There doesn't seem to be a huge amount of pedal movement between "on" and "off" so perhaps it needs adjusting.
