Please look at these numbers from my R4s . Is this car worth spending money on and can anyone tell me what the engine is . I bought a Renault 4 owners workshop manual and it appears to not include my engine or the engine size of my car .

The Revue technique Automobile (RTA) has a few pages on this engine (813-02), which was also fitted in the R2108 van.
Bore: 61,4mm
Stroke: 72mm
852cc
Compression ratio: 8:1
Fiscal horsepower (in France): 5CV; the Spanish system was different - your car is 7CVF.

There's an RTA here:

You might find a free version online....

Thanks , so is my car a little more rare or collectable and is this why the engine is not in the standard owners manual .

The engine in your car is nothing special. Just another Sierra engine.
Only smaller cilinder volume for tax benefit.

If you want an investment car go for the rare R4’s. Like the Sinpars or the special types that came out occasionally.

Thanks again . I have been told through the forum that my engine runs the opposite way to most so if I want to upgrade it for a bigger motor the whole motor and gearbox needs to be swapped . Is this true .

Incorrect
You have got the extremely rare version of the common 956 1108 setup also known as Sierra,/ cleon
This rotates opposite to common 782 /845 ventoux /B1B type
Still be more saleable left original
Yours is 5 bearing crank
Not 3 bearing crank
So upgrading is,easier assuming parts available and you have a definite plan in mind
Some upgrades need more work than end result justifies and may indeed decrease chance of a future sale

@mr-reno-139
In the UK the 813 engine is very rare but in Spain it is a very common engine.
And it runs in the opposite direction as a 956 or 1108 engine.

I do think you are right in your claim that it is best to leave the car as it is.

@bigoldboy
If you do decide to swap the engine bare in mind that you will need another gearbox or you will have 4 reverse gears and 1 forward. You have to put in another radiator that sits just behind the grill.
