My beast is has been loyal and reliable,used everyday ,humping tools and materials,manure timber dogs chicken food me,without missing a beat.Then some teenage shite throws a stone and breaks the windshield ,ggrrr *&8X best not translate! There were 3 of them I saw it happen but I heard a bang and though they were aiming at an oil drum when I went to my car 20 minutes later I saw the damage, blood almost boils.I knew I would be able to recognise them if I saw them together as a group,so I waited outside the local school.Gotcha,there they were.I thought about approaching them but no just took a picture of them.Went to the police,headmaster and am now waiting for an outcome,very hard to keep my hands off the bas...rds,attacking my loyal beast who was just having an hour off !As Franzose wont post me a screen colection only! going to cost the ba.. rd dear Other than that trust alls well with you guys .Al PS anyone gotta shield spare.best

I got mine from a local glass cutter. It has to be laminate of the correct thickness. Mine cost me £30.
(Sure there are other threads discussing this)

Kids can be real *%!#@s sometimes! Maybe I'm just turning into a grumpy old man before my time, but vandalising someone's car, classic or otherwise, is a horrible thing to do.
I've bought laminated glass cut to shape from a local glazier before, all you need is to make a template out of cardboard to get the shape right, and like Andrew said be sure to match the thickness. Good luck.

Morning Renaulters thanks for your interest and knowledge,but a trip to Germany at their expense appeals ! I am actually having a shield being cut at the moment for my Mehari I never thought about the 4, and talking about leaks she has always leaked around the screen so I was hopeing to resolve the problem at the same time.I have taken the screen out of the 68 4 I am about to restore for the time being but does not mean I do not want it replacing,thanks again for your interest,I would send you all a dozen eggs but I only do collection! best Al
