Hi, let me start with saying i don't know a lot about cars and even less about Renault 4s so am glad I found this forum.

I hope someone here can help me regarding a purchase. I am offered a Renault 4TL and I'd like to know if this is a reasonable price for it.
Let me give some details.

I live in Spain and the Renault 4ts is 28 years old.
It's mostly yellow apart from one door that has a slightly different colour.
One window in the back doesn't close properly. The brakes feel funny (seller said it would be easy to fix that hand brake is connected to pedal brake and it would just be a matter of something with a cable). So now you have to put a lot of pressure on the pedal brake to get it to work. There are a few small dents in the chrome bumper.
Except for that there is very little rust on it and drives good. It has passed MOT in march.
Now for my question. The price is 750 euro (662 GBP). Would this be a reasonable price for a car like this or should i pass on it?

( It looks like this one, but with a lot less rust and no headrests. Has had only one owner. http://www.renault4.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=4109&highlight=sale )

Thanks!

That sounds like a fair price - you can spend more fixing them. Some things to look for here: http://www.renault4.co.uk/buyers-guide.htm

The brakes do take more of a push than modern cars. If it's a '83 it should have disc brakes at the front - they will probably need new pads and discs and a good clean up.
