new carburettor ?

Help ! we have a 4GTL 1985 it is in need of a new carburettor...we have checked the jets and fuel intake all good . We fitted electronic ignition so its not that, it idles well and it is only when asked for power that it seems to drop out .I have been told that it s to do with the spindle allowing in air.
So I have asked the Carburettor hospital for a carburettor that will fit where my zenith28IF was....and was assured that he had, and would send what I needed.
I now have a solex 32 SEIA....It does not fit.
SOOOO do I get a new manifold to fit a solex32 / would I need to do something with the rockerbox as well?
or( do I send for a zenith28IF for a Renault 4 L from Palace ancienne which is for a billancourt 839)
or ………………..what ?

I have a solex32 SEIA on a 845 billancourt engine and on a 956 Cleon. Both are running fine.

Try and get a fitting manifold.
You have a fantastic carburetor with this Solex.

I know it was a while ago but thanks for the info. I returned the solex 32 SEIA and got a brand new Zenith 28IF from the carburettor hospital .He was really helpful after our initial hiccup ! Sorted and working well. Thanks.
