The car has been dismantled already.

The first job was to get the chassis shot blasted,
When i got it back i had to bring my plan to Build a jig forwards,

And replaced with new part,

At this point i can give all the inner part of the chassis box a coat of
under seal before the half floor is fitted,

Already enjoying this project massively! I'm looking forward to the progress of this! Good luck with it :D.

very best of luck to you. early cars are wonderful

A lot of job, but definitely worth on such an early R4! And...do I see correctly, is this a sunroof?!
Is it complete, or are there any parts missing?

Just about got to the end of the welding ,Starting on sealing the joints and then i have some Eggshell black Enamel paint to go on.

That is looking very good indeed

The front air vents on Renaults certainly proved to be a restorers big job - 16s, 4s, and rear mounts, I guess they never thought people would want to bother with them decades later! Great post, good to see where some anti rusting need to get sprayed into care of the chassis photos.
Cordialement
Steven

hi Simon,

You have a very nice car in a rare color. I think it's a "beige Sirocco".
What is the colour of the sunroof, burgundy or black?

I have a similar car in blue " Ile de France".

I followed your restoration and your work is remarkable.

Good luck for the final straight.

PS: Sorry for my english, I'm French

Nice car, and nice color, I've never seen beige Scirocco closely, but I find that it looks like the Daim number 111, doesn't it ???

Very nice work! I always thought that Daim 111 naturally fits the renault 4 body. In combination with many chrome details - full expression of true classic that time. In that sense, reservoir cap must be the chrome one :)
